Football legend Diego Maradona has died, according to unconfirmed reports in Argentina.

The Argentine football legend – known for his infamous Hand of God goal against England, as well as his Goal of the Century in the same World Cup fixture – allegedly passed away in South America.

The football icon has recently undergone surgery for a brain clot, according to the Argentina legend’s doctor.

His medic Dr Leopoldo Luque said the 60-year-old had “no neurological damage” and he was “amazed by his recovery” last week.

Maradona was initially admitted to the Ipensa Clinic in La Plata, Argentina earlier this month, suffering from anaemia and dehydration.

The football legend had a heart attack at his home just two weeks after leaving hospital where he underwent surgery on a blot clot in his brain.
