Arsenal and Chelsea are set to meet at Wembley in the 2020 FA Cup final.
Both sides pulled off upset wins (kind of) by taking out the Manchester sides in the semi-finals
to set up a rematch of the 2017 final that the Gunners won 2-1. However Arsenal haven’t beaten
Chelsea this season and so despite the fact that their qualification for next season’s Europa League
rests upon them winning at Wembley, Chelsea’s superior quality (they finished 10 points ahead of Arsenal)
should see them win an FA Cup to cap Frank Lampard‘s first season in charge.

Arsenal & Chelsea’s previous line-ups:
- Arsenal (vs Watford): Martinez; Maitland-Niles, Holding, David Luiz, Tierney; Xhaka,
- Ceballos; Pépé, Willock, Aubameuang, Lacazette.
- Chelsea (vs Wolves): Caballero; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Rudiger; James, Jorginho, Kovacic,
- Alonso; Mount, Pulisic; Giroud.
Arsenal’s injury list is extensive and they will be without Shkodran Mustafi, Gabriel Martinelli,
Calum Chambers, Pablo Mari and Bernd Leno. Moreover Mesut Ozil and Matteo Guendouzi
are clearly not in Mikel Arteta’s plans and are unlikely to play.
Meanwhile N’Golo Kanté has missed Chelsea’s last six games with hamstring trouble but
could be in line for a return whilst Billy Gilmour is still out with a knee problem.
Willian is due to leave the club next week and could be left out for that reason.
Players to watch:
Arsenal: It’s a bit passé to put a star striker here but there really will be no more important player
for Arsenal than Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
With Arsenal likely to employ the same tactics that they did against Manchester City
in the semi-finals, Aubameyang‘s speed and skill on the counter-attack is going to define
how well the Gunners do at Wembley. If Aubameyang takes his chances (as he did against City)
then we’ve got a game on, if he’s profligate then Arsenal’s hopes go up in smoke.
Chelsea: While Christian Pulisic is obviously loaded with the potential to do something amazing,
the one player to watch for Chelsea has to be former-Arsenal man Olivier Giroud. Not only has
the Frenchman won four FA Cups already, not only did he get a goal and assist in last year’s
Europa League final between these two sides, but he’s won every single game he’s played at
the new Wembley (12/12), taking home a massive seven trophies in the process.
